If you have spent more than 2 minutes on TikTok in the last 2 months then you have likely seen someone (or several someones) talking about this Korean collagen mask. Video after video ends with a woman peeling off the mask and gasping at how moisturized and glassy her skin looks.
But is it too good to be true?
Is this just another over-the-top reaction to a lackluster product?
I had to find out.
THE CLAIMS
This mask claims to have the maximum amount of real collagen (2,160,000ppb) than any other collagen sheet mask on the market. It claims it can help you achieve a youthful, radiant complexion and is great for all skin types but especially those concerned with saggy skin, large pores, fine lines, and wrinkles.
HOW TO USE
So this is where this mask is a little unique from any other sheet mask I have ever used. Most masks you leave on for 10-20 minutes, peel off, and then complete with your normal night skincare regimen.
However, this mask you want to leave on for at least 3-4 hours. You can even leave it on overnight, like I did. This amount of time ensures that everything is being soaked into your skin and really doing all the work it claims to do.
When you first put on the mask, it’s completely white but as the hours pass it will become translucent as it all absorbs into your skin. This makes it easy and comfortable to sleep in as it’s not sliding all over your face or seeping into your pillow.
The next morning, or after the 4-hour mark, you just peel off and can leave your skin as is, or follow up with your morning skincare routine.
THE RESULTS
Okay, to be brutally honest – this mask lives up to the hype. Like for real, for real. That first morning when I was peeling off this dried-up film off my face I was riddled with anticipation and what do you know, my skin really did look like glass.
I was having a rosacea flare so yes my skin is still red, but it was sooo moisturized and that sheen is not wetness, it’s legit this glow radiating from the skin. (and yes, my shirt is different because I had an unfortunate accident with my childs ice cream the night before and had to change – just want to be transparent) I wasn’t puffy, like I usually am after a night’s sleep and everything felt tight, but not in a painful or weird way.
I followed up with my morning skincare and my skin was really glowing all day long. I’ve been doing this weekly now and honestly it’s really helping keep my skin moisturized.
As a dry skin girly, this has been a lifesaver.
For a pack of 4 it’s going to run you about $21 but to be honest I think it’s 100% worth it, especially if you have dry or aging skin.
There are some other variations of this mask. I want to try the Teatree one next to see if it helps with my redness, so stay tuned for my review on that but the Deep Collagen one, is worth.the.hype.
